Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and engaging middle school math teacher to lead a summer Algebra Readiness course designed to prepare rising 8th grade students for success in Algebra. The program focuses on strengthening foundational skills, building conceptual understanding, and developing math confidence.
Responsibilities
Deliver targeted math instruction focused on prerequisite algebra skills
Use explicit instruction and formative assessment to guide teaching
Differentiate lessons to support diverse learners
Monitor and document student progress
Maintain a positive, structured learning environment
Qualifications
Valid teaching certification in Mathematics or Middle Grades Education
Experience teaching middle school math preferred
Strong knowledge of foundational algebra concepts
Ability to build relationships and motivate learners
